Introduction
Short presentation of who I am and what this blog is about.
My name is Hugo, I am a runner, a curious mind and a digital marketing student who decided to investigate how modern running gear and marketing really affect our bodies. This blog is my lab, my notebook and my long term project.
My Story
How I arrived in the world of running and why it matters to me.
I discovered running as a simple way to clear my head and stay in shape. Over time I started to increase distance and speed, following the usual advice found online and in ads. At some point the volume and the gear caught up with me and I ended up injured, frustrated and full of questions about the promises made by brands.
Why I Created This Blog
The motivation behind this project and what you will find here.
Instead of just complaining about marketing, I decided to read scientific papers, talk with specialists and test things on myself. On this blog I share what I learn about biomechanics, training, injury prevention and the real impact of shoes and equipment, always trying to separate facts from hype.
My Approach
How I work and the mindset behind each article.
Everything here is based on a mix of scientific literature, real life experiments and honest common sense. I prefer simple explanations, long term thinking and respect for the body, rather than miracle solutions. When I make a mistake, I try to correct it openly and learn from it.
What You Can Expect
What readers will get if they follow the blog.
If you stay around you will see detailed articles, summaries of research, personal feedback on my rehabilitation and reflections on how marketing shapes the way we train. The goal is not to tell you what to do, but to give you enough clear information to make your own decisions.
